Are you planning on doing Werribee at all, I remember you saying about getting back into it when we chatted at Geelong?

I was thinking of putting an entry in 'just in case', but we've had NO practice whatsoever. Terry and I have also been running back and forward to W'bool at the moment because of Dad, so its hard to find the time and energy to practice. I might still go for a look-see anyway if that week-end is free.

Theresa hope you have a great day in the Bool visiting ;)

Cheers Janet

We enjoyed our trip on Thursday Janet, even though most of it was spent up at the hospital due to dad's illness, but todays trip was a disaster :) (Did you hear us toot Tenties?) ;)

The day started out O.K., got to the hospital to see Dad but on the way to the entry we noticed a girl in the bus stop on a mobile phone crying but didn't think too much of it. As we walked by the girl we heard her say 'hey you' and we turned around to find it was our neice. We thought she must have been there to see her grandfather (my dad), but it turned out that my eldest sister (her mum) had been rushed to hospital that morning with a brain bleed and the hospital was waiting on the choppa to take her to Melb!!

Now if that wasn't bad enough, on the way home tonight through Colac, we noticed a little jack russel type dog running in and out of quite heavy traffic (I don't know how it made it so far through Colac in the middle of the road  ) and I made my other half turn the car and trailer around (which is no mean feat on its own) to see if we could lure it over to us before it got hit, but the more we tried, the more it just ran and because the traffic was so heavy (and cars and semi trailers were only JUST missing it) the dog was in panic mode...... then the inevitable happened - first one car with a trailer hit the poor little bugger (who stopped to apologise profusely because he didn't see it), followed by two more cars that just kept going!!!! ;) I ran to the middle of the road in tears expecting that he'd be dead, but when I picked him up he was still (but barely) alive. I asked the guy with the trailer if he knew where there was a vet surgery that I could take him to, but he said he was local and could get him there quicker as he knew exactly where the vet surgery was and took off like a rocket. When we got a chance to turn around again (the traffic was bumper to bumper by now), we looked for any sign of a vet surgery and eventualy found the guys car and trailer parked out front, but the surgery was closed and the guy was on the phone trying to get someone to come. Terry went over to see what was happening and checked the little dog, but sadly it had already passed away. The poor guy that hit it was shaking and was visibly upset, and very, very apologetic. Pity about the other two arseholes that hit it and just kept driving!! :)

The twist to the story is....the same little dog had been found wondering the streets earlier in the day and someone had somehow managed to get hold of it and take it to the very same vet surgery. The vet explained that when the guy let the dog out of his car, it had apparently bolted (don't ask me why he didn't just carry the dog in??) :p and they'd been looking for it ever since. Unfortunatley, she'd been searching the back streets instead of the main highway ;)

So that was our trip to W'bool today!! I'm off to bed with a sleeping pill. I'm still crying for the little dog. Poor little bugger. RIP :(

Yes that's the one. It was pulled up at the showgrounds a couple of days ago and they had a shepherd out.

They must have thought I was an idiot, rubber-neckin' the way I was, but it's a bloody nice trailer and a very nice GSD!

Next time I see you GSD's I'll stop and say Hi! ;)

Tenties I saw a bloke on a ride-on at your place the other day.... thought you'd had a feller move in!

Ha JJ, he would have to be ultra special to move in here after the last idiot  seriously though that would have been my Landlord, he just pops in and does it when he is doing the roadside.

I think he did it yesterday cos i told them about the baby snake the crow picked up on Saturday, he said to me i would have to be very careful considering my eyes, i know i have to be, i was thinking about if i would see a snake or not, or even take notice of anything that looked like a stick on the ground and my answer to that was noooooooo i would just trudge right on past or on it :cheer: must stop thinking of them yuk........

As for GSD's, yes they took the dog's up there for a run, Theresa didnt mention some guy rubber necking so she musnt have noticed you , anyway you should be watching the road not "perving "

Can't help perving on a good looking Shepherd!

I noticed because it was a really nice young dog and I so rarely see a really nice GSD these days.

I nearly stopped for a better look without even knowing who it was! I wish I'd known... I would have stopped for a chat.

JJ, you keen to get Tarni out again, Me and Shan are heading to AP in the morning about 10 if you wanna join us. I managed to get the day off work as I have to get my plate seen to, it has a bit of wire sticking out of the top of it and into my gum. Would you believe they wanted me to go to work without it. I said no way  and then there was lots of jokes about bogan collingwood supporters!!

I'd love to get out tomorrow, but have an electrician coming around about then.

(I tried to do some wiring 'improvements' to the snake-house, but ended up virtually blowing it up instead!

The poor bugger's got his work cut out for himself tomorrow! )

I completely understand - I could easily be mistaken for a Collingwood Bogan myself!!! (No disrespect Tanya  )
