Cavalblaze
Howdy, Took some snap shots of the crew yesterday, our little baby is now 17 weeks old. Gulp .... In the process of basic commands and taking it day by day. Smart little girl, short attention span. Sammy her dad has really come out of his shell and as you can see loves a play with his daughter. Mum Lele is content sun baking.

Tenties
tlc, i would love to come in again and some of my crew would love a walk up AP , they would nick off after the Elusive bunnies but they'd still enjoy themselves I'm sort of stuck again till next pay, cos i hit one of those thumping potholes on this stupid road and have put my wheel alignment out badly..... to drive into Warrnambool is a bit like, " shake ,rattle and hopefully no roll "in a week it has worn my tyres so im not game enough to just drive anywhere....these front wheel drive car's suck when they need a wheel alignment ;) Cavalblaze, your baby is so cute, i just love them when they are babies.... tez
Hope you enjoy the walk tlc, the weather is perfect! Also hope you are feeling heaps better by now! Oh and no...back to work since last week and I have a rotten cold as a momento of Tassie! Are you going to training tomorrow??? I'll be there with Jane as Allie has a sleepover so no Gus. He'll just have to kick back at home. As much as I'm loving this warm weather it does mean I can't leave one of the dogs in the car for half the time as its just too hot in there! Tenties...Bad luck about the car...again. I'm beginning to think that a horse and buggy may be a better mode of transport for you
tlc
CB, your baby is growing up so quick, she is very pretty! Pandii, the footy was my biggest reason for the walk oh and the nicest day in a while, what a great afternoon it has been! Tez, I will be there tomorow if all is well with my mouth. Think I have been talking to much as the roof of my mouth is red raw and so painful, tooth hooe is a bit achy but dealing with it ok, the plate is extremely hard to get used too, so I should get there all being well. don't forget to put your clocks forward tonight. Well we certainly had a doogy afternoon with a nasty little suprise on our travels. First we went to Albert park, then we drove out to Janets new block and checked out the house site all ready to go Then we decided to go to another walking track, and we came across a snake, give me a hell of a fright so we wont be going there any more. RJ didnt seem phased even went back to snap some shots of it. anyway if anyone wants to have a looky at the pics, I am about to put some in the photo section but there is more here http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2838...mp;l=a6bc826cdb. edited for Spelling Edited October 2, 2010 by tlc

jerojath
Tez, are you and Jane able to come for a walk tomorow arvo?JJ missed you today, hope you have a good excuse for standing us up Check out the pics on FB and see if you know what sort of snakey we had a run in with today?? Sorry, I was planning on going for a walk but had forgotten we'd promised friends we'd get together for a BBQ. Off 4WDriving tomorrow near the SA border so no walking tomorrow either. Re Snake. VERY hard to tell from those shots but could possibly be a white-lipped snake. Don't know where you saw it but they are plentiful around the Tower Hill Reserve. They are not much of a worry. They are only mildly venomous - I pick them up for a look when I see them. Don't know what would happen if a dog got bitten though.... Do you have any better/closeup pics to clarify? tlc
Ok here is some edited a bit more they are a little clearer Is it just me or does it look like it has it's mouth open in some of these shots??
jerojath
Still hard to tell, but not White-Lipped Snake at all. Actually looks like a Tiger and TP is the perfect terrain for them. I wouldn't stop walking there due to the snakes but you would have to keep them on lead. At least the snakes are very visible on that path. Only thing I don't like about summer is the snakes when walking. Edited to add... am actually thinking it does look more like a Copperhead snake. Better than a Tiger but still a bitch if it bites you! Edited October 2, 2010 by jerojath
tez
Man oh man that snake does look like it has its mouth open, especially in the first pic. Pretty scary thats for sure! Can't imagine that Jane would leave it alone if she saw one so I have pet insurance so I can pay for the treatment when it happens! Beautiful day for a walk toaday and Jane is nice a cruisy and relaxed after a good training session and nice walk with Barb and her crew and RJ and Sniffle. Made me realise I need a few t-shirts as all I've got are warm tops and jumpers! Know what you mean about the pony Tenties...If I attempted to get on a pony I'm sure he would think it would be fairer if he got on me!!!!
Guest Pandii
JJ how are you cleaning the car after 4wdriving, have heard the car wash places dont like you leaving mud everywhere, and its kinda hard to use ramps to get under neath on the slopey concrete there???? jerojath
GiDay All! Well we're back from a great day today. Wasn't the weather just perfect? Love it! We headed west today, beyond Portland to near where I used to live... Mount Richmond National Park, and just nearby to the Swan Lake area. Swan Lake is awesome fun in a 4WD - huge sand dunes as far as the eye can see. It is home to the Portland Dune Buggy Club. But who needs a Dune Buggy? ;) We got our 2 tonne+ 4X4 airborne off the sand dunes and had a ball! Funny thing is two of the kids slept through all the action! Also spent some time herping (reptile 'hunting') but saw little besides some snakes. Took the kids to their favorite park for fish & chips and so they could stretch their legs. Geez I hope we get more of this great weather real soon. So many great places to go so close to home. Hope everyone else made the most of the sunshine. (Edited to add.... It'll probably piss down on my wedding day now!) Edited October 3, 2010 by jerojath

tlc
Well sounds like you had a blast, what fun sand dune (ing) we did a lot of it as kids and loved it. My dad was a mad as driver and would take us where no man has ever gone before ;) seems scary now that I think back but as kids we loved it!! Not long till the big day now! I agree Tez, I desperatley need new clothes (summer ones) Sean only just said to me today stop spending all your money on the dogs and get yourself some clothes! I reckon I got a slight touch of sun on my arms today too, how nice was that sun! The car wash I go to has a grate you can use to rinse the mud in to once you have washed the vehicle.
