J...
I'm sure you would love it! Most tracking people do other stuff in the 'off season'....show/agility/obedience etc..but once tracking season starts, they drop everything and the tracking gear comes out of mothballs! Why not come to TCV Inverleigh trial later in the year Well if you do invest a few hundred into a fully equipped centre, can you also invest in lots and lots of spare land/bush for the tracking fraternity too :D Theresa I probably would ;) But my next "out there" goal is learning UD stuff Scary given I don't know anyone remotely local who's trialled a dog at that level so it's a big one but I'm still going to give it a go. I have an agility mate who's a hard core tracker, she's always off doing tracking trials during the winter but she had gone as far as she could with both dogs, I think she was having a go at the new tracking title but I can't remember whether she got it or not. As for plenty of land around the indoor doggy centre - that's a given! I'm really not a fan of living in town. A few acres on the outskirts I could handle but Zee has an order in for her own flock of sheep as part of the deal and I think they'll need more than a few acres
tez
Well between us all someones gotta win lotto eventually! If its me then I'm going to have heaps of land with all sorts of doggy sports. Separate areas for flyball, agility and swimming with dock diving, a huge tracking area complete with dam and an indoor arena for bad weather. There will be a lure coursing area and a separate kiddy playground and because I'll be fabulously wealthy, all free!!!! Lots of 'come and try' days and visiting experts on all things dogs to teach us everything we don't know yet!

A friend and I drove to Sydney for a seminar back in November, we had the entire facility designed and redesigned to the finest detail. We even had a cinema screen in the indoor for being able to watch training DVDs so we could replicate what was being done!! :D I'd hate to think how much money we blew but it was fun and definitely passed the time. jerojath
Its either that or he's off to visit family :D Didn't need to go to the circus - there's a few clowns on this thread..... My kids have wanted to go to a circus for ages but I wont support one with exotic animals. The circus tonight had doves, ducks, miniature pony's, goats and donkeys. All the animals were in fabulous condition, got lots of treats, pats & kisses, were clearly loved and didn't have too much expected of them. The kids had a ball and it was Chantels first time at a circus too (deprived childhood!). Love the ideas being thrown around regarding the South West Canine Sports Center - although I think we also need a bar.... somewhere to drown our sorrows after missing out on that elusive 3rd pass AGAIN! Riley James
Well I will have the land you guys can supply everything else. Oh and we will be close to the beach :D only a 5 min drive to Killarney I will supply the cats for the dogs to chase tho (my stupied cat was sitting on my lap got a fright and has dug 6 inch trenches in my legs with his claws OUCH)Dexter the lure cat :p :p : Would be advanagous to us if you could teach your dogs to eat grass also as we nill soon have 7 acres to mow :D So I am thinking grass eating dogs and cats will fix that and will be cheaper to feed them than what they eating now Whats that you said about clowns JJ ;) Tez do you mean my little froggie????? He is pretty cute but I have to admit the pic is not one of mine it is one I stole off the net cose I can never get my pic small enough resolution (cose I am a little simple at times :D but happy to admit it :D) Jess you should come over and have a doggie get together one day with us there is only a few of us that bite Ok I better go and dress these trenches in my legs before I bleed to death BLOODY CAT. TLC hope to catch up with you tomorrow but have to go back to builders after work so will give you a call. Cheers Janet

Hell yes!!! Wish I could say I don't need it but I'll probably be it's biggest user Jess you should come over and have a doggie get together one day with us there is only a few of us that bite :D Sounds good, will definitely do it when I can fit it around my trial schedule! :p As for biting, well I've survived the training thread so far so I should be right with you lot The dogs would love it but they play awfully hard, especially Zee, but they can always go back in the car if they get too over the top. Bloody agility dogs ;) Edited June 18, 2010 by Jess.
