J... Posted April 1, 2010 Share Posted April 1, 2010 Jess...how are your girls? Jane has a nasty eye infection which the vet guesses is from swimming in the lake last week! She's her usual happy self but needs eye ointment for 5 days and Metacam for thre days to get on top of it...poor love! Wow that is nasty - poor Jane!! Darcy has had one or two eye infections in the past, just conjunctivitis but she's only ever had eye ointment for it. Both my two are fine, I've had both dogs in the lake probably 4 times in the last week and a half for at least an hour at a time with no side effects. I did check the toxin levels with the council before I allowed them back in as I was really concerned about it, and certainly didn't trust the council media given their reporting of it last time they tested. The only thing I've noticed in the past few days is that my guys are itchier than normal but I suspect that is the kikuyu in my back yard taking off again with the rain - it makes me itchy too!! We're off to Altona trialling Saturday and Sunday - bit sucky as it's a fair drive backwards and forwards each day but having the night in my own bed makes it worth it Hope everyone has a great Easter and enjoys their break - I'm certainly looking forward to a 4 day weekend Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We normally go camping over Easter but with puppies we are stuck at home this year No JJ, its not in town, about 30 minutes east of Warrnambool and dont worry first thing on my list after getting settled ( if i get the place ) is a BBQ and a sit down and relax day, i could really do with it believe me lol so i will let you all know whats happening and whether the BBQ is a goer ok ??? ( nothing new ) The person who was going to share with me has pulled out and is staying in Melbourne, if anyone know's of anyone who is looking for a place to share, can they let me know please. i will advertise its just that i thought i'd give someone a chance at cheap rent and not have to get any furniture as i have everything bar a bed for them lol their share of the rent will be $80 pw if i get this place, hell of a lot cheaper than paying the going rents on your own ?? Tenties Posted April 3, 2010 Share Posted April 3, 2010 Well , i've been there, had a look, their dog and cat like me the owner asked if it would be ok by me for Molly ( their dog ) to come over for play dates Molly laid at my feet then rolled on her back with the legs in the air woofing in excitement when her Mum asked her if she liked me lol i had to come home to think about things (( by their order ) not sure what to do.............. ......... :D course i'll take it not everyday you come across people like that just hope nothing goes wrong this time by the way there is a terrific BBQ area just outside the back door which was once a carport but has been enclosed with lattice well i will get back to them tomorrow and i hope to hell nothing goes wrong i wont get excited until i'm in it this time . I have all body bits crossed that this one comes up trumps for you A BBQ sounds like a great idea, but it all depends on WHEN???? :D If it works out O.K around puppies and Terry's shifts, then I'll be there with bells on! Food is always much nicer when you don't have to cook it yourself! - why is that? Vegas goes in for her ultrusound hopefully on Thursday (if I can get her in)? - so I'll know for sure one way or the other if she's going to be a mum or not, instead of just hoping - again . Six years between litters is a bloody long time to wait, and besides, I'd really like Pep to see his great- grand kids before he goes. Which reminds me I must ring mum and dad Theresa Hi GSD's Keep your body bit's crossed as they asked me what my partner was doing as they really wanted a couple in there i said everything is being sorted and that i just " loved " the house so i will take it...... i have been watching for that lightening bolt and have been checking my tongue every 5 minutes , i just didnt know what else to say, i didnt want to lose the place just cos im on my own i have sent mic a text to ring me so hopefully he does he is the one who pulled out so he can help me now which i think is fair.
