Hi Guys, Linda you make the show training sound like heaps of fun, I did say Id like to tag along but mainly to practice my photography as my main aim is to perfect my dog shots, and it is good to have some different breeds to test my skills on, but I would love to bring at least one of my dogs with me if no one objects. I do try hard to take them all out occasionally one on one as they are all together so much, it is good for them to have some seperate time with other dogs by themselves, the dynamic really changes when they are on thier own!!

The beach was lovely today even though it was so hot, it was quite nice down there and sniffy was hilarious in the water swimming he did a great job considering it was his first full on swim!!

Has anyone been to the carnival this year? Thinking about heading down there to take some photos at some stage but not sure how busy it has been.

Great shots TLC...The colours are amazing!!!

Very jealous of your time at the beach with RJ and Sniffy. Wish we could join you but I have lost ALOT of confidence with Jane's recall ( what recall do I hear you ask???) and I need to got back to basics with her me thinks! She is so great without any distractions but the world is full of distractions and these the things that make her FORGET!!!! Think I may invest in the book and DVD 'Really Reliable Recall" that was discussed in another thread here.

R.J...Huge congradulations on your new land...now that its almost here, do we get to see some pics????

Tim and Tanya...hope work was'nt too rough...First week back to work for me too and it was HARD...no more BEER O'CLOCK and no more nanna naps!

J.J...congrats in advance on little #4. You sure are a bugger for the babies!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the Birthday wishes for the 23 Dec, TLC, Mawson and JJ.

Been on holidays and I have been flat out helping neighbour milk his cows and doing extra shifts at the shop.

TLC, no problems about not catching up I was on a flying mission, only had 15min to get what I needed and get home and then to work.

Back to the regular full time job tomorrow, not sure how the kids are going to cope, I have been home for nearly 4 weeks and it is meant to be an absolute stinker of a day.

Wow it will be tough going back after 4 weeks, I too am dreading the big green shed tomorow in the heat!! Do your furkids stay inside on hot days while your at work? Mine do as Im lucky to be only gone for 5 hours and usually OH is home before I get home so they are only usually left home alone for 4 - 5 hours so I dont worry about them being inside. Not sure how they would go outside all day in the heat, but don't wanna try it either especailly when they are not used to it.

Have fun back at work I havent had any hols over the xmas period, I have to wait till later in the year, around May and it wont come soon enough, me and the puppies are going on a trip YAY!!

I'm wondering what to do with my guys tomorrow - if I had no work appointments I'd work from home for the afternoon but I have 2 appointments booked in on a tight schedule so won't get the chance to check on them in between.

Darcy alone inside I've no issue with, Zee should be ok but I've never left her inside for longer than 1/2 hour without me around. I think I'll duck home and chuck them inside anyway at lunch time. They have their clam and I can stick a big ice block in their water bowl but I'd prefer they were safe and cool inside. Zee's still puppy silly and I wouldn't put it past her to do something stupid like run around in the heat. :(

Hi Jess, they will probly be so glad to be inside at lunch time that they will just plonk themselves and sleep for the arvo. I know if mine are out for a little while on a hot day and im here, when they come in its like :D thanks mum we were dying out there!! :( they are so funny they just plop down on the tiles and go to sleep if anyone didnt know they would think they had been out in 40 degrees all day :)

If you dont mind me asking what do you do for a job?

Mine are flat out now - Darcy is happy to sleep but Zee being who she is always has an ear at the ready in case there's something happening. :( They should be fine inside, especially with Darce to set her usual good example.

I'm a field rep - so spend my day between the office and out on the road providing service to farmers. I can work from home instead of the office if I want to - I don't push it but on days like tomorrow nobody gets too fussed about it. I'm supposed to be doing an audit with a work mate tomorrow after lunch at Gellibrand, somewhere I have no desire to be on such a sh*t of a day. :D I'm tempted to ask him to shift it or let him go on his own. :)

I think everywhere should call off work :( I was just reading WEIA's thread about tomorrows weather and she has just posted a link to a news article warning people already to leave thier homes due to extreme fire danger, hope it isnt like black friday again. I went to the beach early this morning and it was lovely out there (Killarney) cool breeze and just fab for the dogs they had a ball. But now all exhausted and slabbed out. My Tully sounds like your Zee, busy busy and hanging out for the next outing. Although in saying that she is fast asleep now, two hours at the beach has put a dint in her energy levels for the day :)

Oh I just wanted to mention that Bunnings have the clam shell pools for about $18 that is for only one side. Not sure why they dont sell them as a set like kmart. Just thought some may have been looking for one for their doggies for the hot weather!!

Seen them the other day and pounced as I need a "clean" one for the seminars I'm going to with the dogs in Feb, just in case it's hot. Until I seen it was only for one - Big W have the same ones, same shape and similar price ($21). Will have to grab a double from either Target or Kmart, whoever has a special at the time.
