Tenties
Hi JJ, No house as yet, im starting to think there never will be........living here with my Fathers attitude to everything is the worst life to live ....... To make matters worse someone told RSPCA i was here with the dogs and they came to check on them then wanted to know if i had docked any tails ???? Mum was up at RSPCA last week and they said to her they were very worried about the dogs living in the van ???? It was the inspector that came around , he said he didnt see any problem as they are all happy , well fed and healthy to who ever thought otherwise lol Take care Linda
Guest Pandii
Hey Tenties, I have seen you at Harris street a few times on my way home but never have time to stop and say Hi Thinking of you and hope your situation improves soon
tlc
Hi Tenties, thanks for the heads up about Harris street, we were there last week, and were going there tomorow but may have to rethink now!! We have been sticking to areas where the grass is shorter for snakes and for grass seeds they are the worst Ive ever seen his year!! Will be keeping my lot fairly short over the summer months. Sorry to hear your living arangments are less than ideal. Who ever dobbed you in should mind thier own business, could it have been a sticky beak neighbour?? Hope things get better for you soon!! JJ where abouts did you see the snales at Kilarney on the actual beach or in the dunes? We have been going there a lot and havent seen any but have just been sticking to the waters edge and going down to the beach at the boat ramp on the main beach. Gonna steer clear of Kilarney for a bit as they have nesting pluvas there atm and they have signs saying to have the dogs on leash.
jerojath
tlc - I haven't seen snakes on the beach but plenty in the scrub, on the track in, and even in the car-park at the end of Basin Track. Problem is my dogs wont stay by the water - they take off immediately into the dunes and I often don't see them again til I get back to the car. I've tried keeping them on leash there but they get soooo frustrated and sook all evening once I get them home. They are happy to stay at home as they get so much attention from us and the kids but are just unhappy going out on leash - I think it's just a 'tease' for them! tlc - just re-read your post... did you mean snakes or 'snales' at Killarney......? I keep sticky beaking when I walk past, want to go in! Munchin - I am in the shop tomorrow to finish the last of the plumbing etc, and he opens 10:00am Friday. He has had the first of his fish arrive and all his stock is sorted so he will be ready to go by then. Not many fish in yet as they need to be stocked gradually over a period but there are some. There are some beautiful marine fish there already! Only thing that may not be ready is his live plant display but I'm hoping to have it plumbed-in tomorrow. Thought it must be getting really close, don't believe I've heard Pet Goods Direct advertising their fish supplies before until very recently... Amazing what a bit of competition does. Rumour has it PetStock are about to have a sale on their aquarium supplies too! Think they've had it too good for too long. Without serious competition they've been able to tell customers whatever crap they like to make a sale and charge too much for basic products without sound advice. Mind you, Aqua Life wont be selling 'cheap' stuff. While there will be a choice between budget brands and expensive brands, I gather he isn't stocking any 'rubbish' beyond some childrens 'starter packs'. I think he is going to be well supported as many local aquarists know he is well experienced to offer good advice.
