Should we plan a social event as tis is a socail event or do you want to have it moved to OT as a chat thread and start another socail event thread, so we can organise stuff in the Western district

Social event thread sounds good, particularly for those of us who don't get on here much. That way we don't have to wade through a heap of posts and pics to get the info. Social event sounds even better, but Oct and Nov are pretty full on with trials for me.

I reckon a separate "chat" thread is a great idea

Tez, love love love the pics of Janey, funny girl she is!! I havent put any pics on yet as Im still away, will go through them when i get home there will be so so so many!! Do you have face book?? There is some of the doggy get together from last sunday with my dog buddies in Melbourne on my face book, lPm me if you have it and Ill add you.

I think it is a good idea to have a seperate thread for chat photos etc, but not sure about where to have it maybe still in this area cause if we have it in the off topic area any new people wont be able to access it and also some of the warrni peeps are not in off topic yet.

JJ bumma about the show, but glad to hear Amy is going well with her bubs, wont be long now. Not sure what Tenties is up to?

Tanya, I came here to check out your pics?? Where are they?? And how cute was my friends shnauzer pup in my face book pics, she was just the cutest little thing, she run around with the big furkids all 6 of them (my 4 and Bronsons 2 brothers) and she was great, they seem like hardy sturdy little confident dogs.

YOu could have a chat in general in the M&M as most of us do with our breeds or in OT, we all have 150 posts dont we??

That way we can organise a get together without anyone having to wade through pages of stuff. Then we might encourage the ones that dont come in here because of the crap to join in and actually see when we are having a get together

T&T where are the pics haha you did PROMISE :rofl::rofl:

Maybe we should either make another one here in Social.

Or make one in General, as although most (Tez doesnt yet and I am not sure about Munchin) of us do have 150 posts any new people wont be able to access it in O.T

Tez love the pics of Jane she is a typical pup hehehehe.

JJ Oh you and your O.H will have your hands and house full again. but nothing beats puppy breathe IMO.

And at least 8 that great, more for you to choose one from for showing

Hey TLC hope your having a great time away and the puppa's are behaving themselve as usual. Will have to have a catchyup when you get home

Cheers Janet

We already have 125 pages of crap here, no newbie is going to wade through all this to see what warrnambool and district is doing int he social event area.

Chats can be held on MSN, facebook, via PM or any other way.

Its a social event section of the forum not social chatting, OT is for anything that doesnt fit anywhere else, photos in photos ect, thats why Troy goes to so much effort to make the sections and moderate them.

Either move this thread or let it die, start a new thread int his section for social events, the persons tarting it can be responsable for updating the heading each time as others do in this section.

Start a thread in OT for chat or chat in your breed thread, post your photos in the photo section, if you still want to chat go to msn or somewhere else

I stopped posting photos here once it was brought to my attention that others on Dial up were avoiding the thread because of so or didnt want to waste downlad time seeing what they can see any day they go outside, its about respect for other users.

Lets keep the thread for what its supposed to be

The photos are pretty crappy so apologies about the quality, Janet and TLC.

And nope, I don't have 150 posts yet so ATM I'm happy with this thread as I like wading through stuff.

What is one persons crap is usually someone elses treasure I find, so each to their own I suppose!

I see the Thread title has changed, probly best that this thread stays as it is as the majority here are happy to chat and post pics and if any other South Westers want to have a social events thread to start a new one.

Yep. I have changed the title and added a photo warning for those on dial-up.

Hopefully with these changes the thread can remain in its current format for those that wish it to do so.

By stating it is NOT a social events thread, there will be NO confusion if someone else starts

a local Social Events Organizing thread.

Think this is the best way for everyone.

If anyone has an issue with this, please post or PM me.

:)

RavyK you still coming to town??

Yes I am. Friday 2nd Oct. OH's contract renewal was confirmed, so all is good to go.

We are hoping to be in Warrnambool around 12-1pm, so if someone would like to organise where to meet, that would be great.

All locals need to be aware of a possible dog poisoning in Albert Park last week.

According to 'The Standard' a dog became ill after walking in Albert Park and is suspected to have eaten a bait.

Another dog brought home some meat (presumably from the same park) which was wrapped around rodent bait.

I am not sure if Albert Park is an off-leash zone or not, but everyone should still be extra careful while walking there.

Bloody hell I go away for one week and all the drama happenes. I cant believe we have people in our town that would do stuff like baiting an off lead dog park, sick sick people. I wont be walking the dogs there for a while then, to much of a risk!! Not sure if I am going to make the Friday Meet with Ravyk as I dont know when I m coming home. For the ones that are meeting up maybe the cage at harris street might be the safest.
