Some pics from our walk today. RJ, it was a pleasure to meet your little fella today he is a lovely boy, such nice manners and a real sense of humour. I also noticed he was so good with the dogs Lacy really seemed to like him, and she dont really gravitate towards kids at all. Hope we can do it again soon.

Oh tlc,

Thanks for today. Riley just adores you and has fallen in love with your dogs :cheer::):cheer: (wish we had gotten him one like your guys)

What a great walk, its a pity no one else could make it :(:cheer:

Next time Riley has asked if we can go to Albert park so he can ride a bit more than pulling his bike up the hills (how funny was that)

And you have converted him cose he normally doesnt like going out riding!!!!!!

Glad you enjoyed the choccy and tell hubby he most welcome and thanks for the tickets I really really appreciate them.

Cheers Janet

How are you liking training, Trish said yesterday that Bruno is doing very well and it wont be long before he is ready to go up a step. Are you enjoying it?

yeah I love training, it's sooo much more interesting then Harris Street, yeah can't believe how good Bruno was on Sunday accept for jumping on me and me then having two very muddy paws prints...

No they don't allow corrections of any sort, all positive reinforcements.

It is a great way to train but I don't always agree that it is the right method for every dog. It has worked fine for my lot, but i do occasionally use methods that would be frowned apon at training. I love some of the techniques used by Cesar and they have helped me with my lot. They were pretty good before Cesar but even better now and I haven't had to change a lot, just small subtle changes!! I do agree that different dogs can benefit from different training for sure!!

Does brieley allow check chains

Nope definalty no chocker chains allowed!!

Thay's a shame...

I want to start training Tarni to trial eventually, but I like a check chain so Brierly is out.

Problem is I don't like the Harris St Club so I may just have to do it alone!

What's the latest re show training? Anyone know?

JJ, if you came to Harris street I could convince OH to go too.

I reallly want him to do some work with Dante, if we are going to start taking her on road trips she needs to improve, still trying to convince him

At least you was a good husband and took her hot chips, not your fault they never stayed down :o:thumbsup:

Tell her I need to catch up and say Hi

Hey TLC, so if you have a dolg pulling like a steam train in a high prey mode, how do you get the dogs attention at brieley?? Waving a bit of food in its face isnt going to work.

Intrested in show training too :)

Nope! Went to Harris St years ago when I first lived in Warrnambool and thought they were useless!

I stuck it out through a few classes hoping I'd get a reasonable instructor but found they were all from the dark ages. Admittedly things may have changed a lot since then....(?)

I used to train & instruct at Knox ODC in Melbourne and the two clubs are worlds apart.

I would definately give Brierly a go if I could use a check.

Hey guys in regards to Brierly and Harris Street...

I first started off at Harris St but it got a bit repetative but did like correction collar training, now at Brierly. I was a bit concerned about not using a correction collar on Bruno coz I thought he wouldn't listen, but the way training is I really don't need one, even Bruno being a giant breed and not very quick at learning I thought I wouldn't have any chance of teaching him things without correction collar, boy I was wrong he is doing better then when we were at Harris Street...

So a big thumbs up for Brierly...
