acm_02
Our female Cavalier pup is 4mths old. We have crated her at night from day one (we got her at 10weeks). Our routine is toilet before bed (bedtime usually 10.30-11.30pm) then she will sleep until 6-7am when she will yap/bark for us to let her out, then she will always do number 1 and 2's first thing in the morning. Her crate is sectioned off and she sleeps on a snooza futon and has a teddy with her. In the last month she has wet her bed twice (not on consecutive nights). On these occassions she has woken us up alot earlier (around 4am) and her call-out is alot louder and more consistent. We go in to discover her bed is soaked and she is either standing up or has her front paws perched on the crate door. We never reprimand her for this, just take her down to do wee's then back to bed (another spare portable crate). Any possible explanations for this? Is it normal behaviour? Will she grow out of it? Could it be something more sinister? Opinions and advice very welcomed!
rish
we got our pup Kreepy off my daughter (she is sister to 1 of our's) My daughter is in a volitiol patnership, anyhow,we had Kreepy for about 3 mths and my daughter took her for a sleep-over,we had to go pick her up cause she keept crying, that night she wet our bed (where she sleeps) the next time she seen our DD and partner, she wet it again-2 times in 1 night ! (i was clueing in now !) 1 more time it happened and i relized totally that she was scared they were taken her (she was well looked after, but the yelling is beyond normal) They are both staying her n\right now,and Kreepy is OK,we hugged her heaps and it was fine, yesterday they had a loud fight,Kreepy was very skittish-but didnt wet. Something may be now scaring ur dog, something maybe that ur not hearing because ur asleep ?? maybe a roaring car that comes home at 2am.......... iv no suggestion of how u can help, but i think she is scarred Our female Cavalier pup is 4mths old. poodlefan
Bladder control in a 4 month old isn't great. If you're not making it to her very quickly when she cries, she may not be able to hold on. If this persists, a vet check might be in order. It might be a urinary tract infection. However if this is the only time she has an accident, I think its more likely to be lack of bladder control. You'd better start sleeping in sprinting spikes!

acm_02
it could also be the hotter weather, making her restless.... We havent seen the sun here in Townsville for about a week! Its pooey rainy days with below average temps, not like the poor folks down south, so i dont think that is the cause unfortunately...... Could be scared of something, although i think this is unlikely she isnt normally a timid or easily frightened dog, well not when she is awake anyway. I suppose it is a bladder weakness, it is just strange that it happens once in a while. Can it be likened to that of a young child who wets their bed on and off? Pet Empire
You could always try puppy pee pads if you cant always get to her in time put them somewhere out of the way and put a little bit of sent that comes with them a go, so at least she isn't wetting the bedding at night and they are easy to clean any good pet store should have them. Hope it works out for you both.
