Hmmm is Velvet the whiteish soap? Sunlight is very yellow. It's what was used before we had six million choices of soap! is used for washing clothes mainly now, and can sometimes be found on the washbasins in public toilets! Just Midol
Unilever is an evil company. They are a very BIG company. Evil or not, they make good soap. Unilever is possibly one of the most unethical corporations in the world. I can't believe people still support them, even more disturbing that dog owners support them. They've attracted cricitism from everywhere, animal welfare, environmentalists, social activists. Edited January 26, 2009 by Just Midol
PooMother
Sunlight soap in my day was used for washing ones mouth out for using naughty wrods or to be exact scraped up on upper teeth blek!!!! On my white patched kittehs I would use the Palmolive original dishwashing liquid and then follow it with a good quality blue shampoo, worked wonders. sas
Are you looking to make the coat as clean as possible or to actually bleach it?Given the recent study linking mouthwashes to cancer, I'd not be using them on a dog. Without being dramatic now That media hype was without the backing from the science community. Just about the whole of Australia would be dead of Cancer if alcohol causes Cancer in such small doses. Perhaps something like LaserLites might be what you're looking for? Edited January 26, 2009 by sas
myspitz
Sorry, I am a newbie here. I thought you're not suppose to use dish detergent and human shampoo cuz' of ph and dryness. is it safe to use sunlight?
borzoimom
I use to use a combination ( half and half ) of Mane N Tail shampoo, mixed with " Blue" which is for dogs. Its blue when you put it on, but rinses out white. However- what I have found that really works the best, ( and I mustter how much money I have spent on expensive dog shampoos) is- Johnsons Baby Shampoo ( like they use for small children). I am not kidding! Its mild enough for a dog, cleans off aklaline and stains out of the coat. If used even on a black dog, the coat absolutely gleams as it cuts the build up residue. It makes LIndsey so white she is almost irresdescent. I even use it on Femka and for the first time, her dusty looking black coat just shines. ( I will post pictures if you wish). You wash the dog twice. And with all shampoos make sure well rinsed.

sas
Only alcohol containing mouthwashes. Could you imagine if it were true if the alcohol in mouthcashes lead to Cancer...Australian's being some of the biggest drinkers in the world would all have Cancer! Come on people, us doggie people are used to media hype!

Whatever, if you think it's okay to test beauty products on rabbits and dogs then that's your choice. You're probably happy about it, wouldn't surprise me. Shop ethically! Hell no, burning our rabbits eyes is way more fun! Being the cause of primates dying! Yay! Racism? Who cares! Not sas! You would be hard pressed to find whitening shampoo in the supermarket. Best to try at a pet shop, or I'm sure there's somewhere you can buy online.
