storm
need advice for a puppy This little one has been teased and roughed up for fun as the previous owners thought its funny to get him grumpy until he snaps, grow and bite etc. Now the moment you go to touch him he will go to bite or growl. Im not 100% sure what is the correct way to handle this and would like advice so I don't make it worse When he bites, I growl at him and he just growls back. I did yell NO when he bite but it was a game to him I have tried to push my hand into his bite but that just seem to hurt me I would like to give this puppy a chance bull breed, (no judgment just a fact) so will be a solid dog when an adult. Will be fully vet checked tomorrow, also never been vaccinated
Cosmolo
How old is the puppy? You are likely to need to get a professional asap to deal with such an issue.
poodlefan
Yep, get a professional in ASAP. The only comment I will offer is not to meet his aggression with more aggression .. it was human aggressiion that created this situation in the first place. BigBen
It sounds like he's been encouraged to growl and bite... If that's the case, I would turn away and ignore the behaviour. How old is he? Does he play with toys? Puppies are not normally aggressive, but no doubt they can easily and quickly be trained to act this way. Some people find it quite cute to see a tiny puppy growl.. Use a short, sharp 'Ah!Ah!' and be very calm around this puppy.
