katzz
hi my 10 month old cav girl ziris started about a week ago to have heavy breathing when walked but is active running and doesnt seem to let her bother her but i am abit worryed, she is happy plays eating a little less then normal. we went to the coast for a hoilday and the dogs got a tick each but we had been checking them a few times a day so we got them of very quick, ziris has got a little lump with the crust stuff which i read about and that sounds normal so i dont think the tick had anything to do with the breathing as the tick was on her about a week ago, around the same time as the breathing thing!! just wondering if anyone has any idea whats going on??? thanks katzz
poodlefan
Do you walk her on a collar... perhaps she is leaning into it and putting pressure on her trachea??
katzz
she walks on a harness but today was only on it for a minute then was off led
poodlefan
So much for that thought! Check her for ticks again. A week out from the coast she may still have one. Failing that, if it continues to worry you, perhaps a visit to the vet may be in order.
Cavandra
I am presuming you do not mean the "reverse sneezing", "Cavalier Snort".... that they do when they are excited/walking......

puggy_puggy
Elongated Soft Pallet maybe. Where do you live? Could be that the weather is warming up and you are walking her in the heat.
