PossumCorner
Careful P'seff, the Purist Pixies will getcha!! I used to sort of love Picasa but the copy I had just a few years ago was a "greedy" piece of software, it used to gobble the images from wherever I wanted to keep any separate, had a bossy take-over attitude so I didn't keep it on. I believe that aspect has been sorted out now.

Ripley
What ISO are you shooting at, persephone? I shot at my 30D's maximum ISO yesterday in a glow worm cave without flash and got hot pixels.

Aahh yes- you MUST tell it what to grab.. or it WILL take over!!! ISO? On that one 100. The 'noise' is just because I have a finepix S8000..not a DSLR and it was at full zoom...and it canna do any more ( and one day, maybe, I will get a DSLR) The bird was first cropped... then film grain applied, then a bit of saturation. a little. then selective colour.. then some blur.... Kirislin
Persephone, your photos are good enough without altering them with special effects. I wish you could get a DSLR, nothing could stop you.
