Bulldust
Hi, as the title suggests i am looking for recommendations for behaviourists in Tassie, as i dont want my pup person to go to one who might do more damage than good. Thank you guys
Tassie
If you want a vet behaviourist, I think Dr Debbie Calnon from Victoria comes down every so often to do consults in Hobart - not sure where she's based, but you could probably find a contact for her in Melbourne and ask. I've heard her speak at a conference, and I would hvave no hesitation consulting her.
Cosmolo
Depends on what problem its for- if its for a puppy i don't think you would need a veterinary behaviourist unless there are serious issues?
luckypup
the only people i would ever reccommend would be Dog Listeners trained by Jan Fennell. I only know people in Victoria, but i could ask them (i work with 2 of them) if there is anyone in Tassie if you'd like me to. These are people that have been trained by Jan Fennell herself, who is someone that has studied wolf packs in the wild and transferred everything she learns into our own companion dogs! let me know if you're interested! Bulldust
Hi guys, the pup is nearly 8mths old and hes been out of sorts since he was desexed, he'd had a chew on a squid jig a couple months before and after that op he was not himself for nearly a week but came good, the behaviour he's displaying can be a fatal problem in the breed, but he was 100% before his operation and hes not too bad atm so we are needing to fix it now, before it becomes ingrained in his silly little brain. Thus needing a very good behaviourist not an average one. Thanks luckypup and Tassie any help is appreciated

Staff'n'Toller
If it has the potential to become a very serious problem then Debbie Calnon is your best bet. May as well go to a behaviour expert than stuff around with trainers who may or may not be helping the situation. I'm sure she would be happy to receive breed information specific to Bullies if you feel there are aspects she may not know about. Mel.
Cairo1
Yep! Debbie Calnon! I live in Tassie and if I had a serious problem, she would be the one I would use. She has more experience than anyone I know - especially anyone in Tassie. . . . . much smaller population. I hope that your 'puppy person' gets the help they need Cheerio Cairo1
