poocow
Poocow: I am wondering if that is the ship my in laws have just been on.They were going on a South Pacific cruise 28th Dec and would have got back today I think. Most likely then - if they went to Fiji and Vanuatu. It arrived in Sydney around 8/9ish this morning. Ask them if they got anything seized from Quarantine You work for Quarantine poocow? Do the beagles work cruise ships in Sydney - I'm due to clear something on Monday name escapes me?? My colleague told me she seized 20 items (fruit) from passengers today working a beagle, not sure which ship or where it was from. Speaking of work - I returned today after having leave, so am struggling to keep up here and not sure I'll get a pic up tonight, might have to do a day behind thingo we'll see how I go Yeah I do work for Quarantine - haven't been there long. Hoping to get into the DDU this year when a vacancy comes up. Beagles work the cruise ships here - they were late today as they got told the wrong time (stupid shipping!) - only 4 seizures (food and a green grass hat). I'm in the shipping/zones section in February and there is a ship coming in every day ETA - lea - lovely shots! I love cows too!!! Ashanali
Lack of motivation here... so two bad photos for the last couple of days. Jan 8th - Another day that I struggled to pick up the camera for the challenge. I took this single photo. It's a pin board that I have in my kitchen. It commemorates those rare moments that I actually step in front of the camera as I hate having my photo taken. They are all photos of me with some of my 'nearest and dearest' over the last few years. Put image through a B&W conversion. Texture added and brushed back in some places. Jan 9th - This image was photographed just before midnight. I really wasn't in the mood to get creative so this is a last ditch attempt to get a shot in for the 9th of January. I call it, 'get off the freaking computer, it's nearly midnight!' Just a simple B&W conversion. No other PS work I'll try and do something a little more creative today. wagsalot
Im missing my yard!! Its currently full of big holes as we're building a deck. I like taking photos out there the best, but when its covered with holes and dirt it isn't so great. I got this today. Riley's toy box. A mass off colourful objects. piper
I was back to work this week and after a couple of longer than usual days at work, came home too tired to even remember the challenge and with dogs being very demanding of my time after having had near constant company for 3 weeks. And with OH away for work for the week (on te Gold Coast the lucky bugger!) they were feeling particularly needy of attention. So my first effort for the week is Jazz saying "Come play with me Mum". I was trying for a sepia but no idea how to get a good sepia in PS. The moon. I was happy with this - first time I have tried to shoot the moon. Played with levels a little in PS and cropped. And Jessi enjoying dinner - I don't often take photos of the beagle. She ends up being jokingly called "the forgotten 1" or "the middle child" Today I aim to get someone to throw the frisbee so I can try and get pictures of Jazz catching it... huga
Good to see you joining in Huga Love the second one, the effect you've used is fabulous! Thanks. I changed it to sepia, adjusted the contrast etc and used an 'antique' filter. It was fun to play with. I really like the second pic of yours
piper
Todays pictures from me. THey aren't the greatest, the light is very harsh out there at the moment but I grabbed the camera when the 12 year old step son decided to go play with the dogs and got him to throw the frisbee for them. I captured what I wanted which was Jazz catching it, now I know I can get that I will try it another day in better conditions. And I liked this 1 for the intensity on her face as she is tracking it: And just for fun: Jazz relaxing after a good game.

Ripley
Great photos again from everyone. My OH is also not liking my computer time on the weekend so here is yesterday's and today's in one go. Yesterday I had lunch with these 2 lovely DOLers. I'm crap at PS but did a quick b/w conversion and put a diffuse glow filter over it. Today, my naughty parrots. These are pretty much straight out of camera with a crop as I'm too busy this afternoon to play around with them. Passionfruit My Alexandrine reminds me of a fish eating from a coral bommie in this photo. blacklabrador
Aww that is a beautiful photo Ripley!! Two gorgeous girls I am sure they will cherish that photo. Love the photos of the other birds too. Here is todays photo. My favourite subjects are obviously my animals. For so long I've wanted to be able to capture them properly as I know them at home and this really can't be done with a point and shoot camera. So here is a lovely photo of my extremely handsome pointer. Title: "The Golden Boy"
Ripley
It was my first attempt at high key - FAIL! I know I should have removed a few shadows from faces first but don't know how to use the patch tool very well - I don't ''do'' portraits, prefer landscapes but I warned the girls they were my Friday challenge. Yes, on the left is fierydi, monelite on the right. I will clone out the spot on the lips and inner corners of eyes before emailing it to di and mon.
