Lil Miss LeiLani
I think I've also worked out - its harder to focus when you are wearing glasses!! Snook - I loved taking those photos of my friends. When I look at them now, I still laugh, brings back great memories just from each photo Seems to be mostly all Zorro today! And my fave for the day..... :ange:
Gapvic, love the tree shot as well!! You've picked it up easily! Little Milla, so cute!! She fell over and took skin off her nose when we were taking photos. Poor little poppet. I can safely say I don't think I will ever sell this lens (unless of course a 1.2L is dropped into my hot little hands one day...) gapvic
Thanks for everyones comments! Ange, I haven't really - there are hundreds of terrible, terrible shots that end up deleted . But I am keen to improve and plan to head out to do more ruins this weekend. LML, I love the way you capture the moment in your photos. Ange, esp love the first one with the parents in the background - beautiful!! So many beautiful photos - you are all so talented!

SammieS
I've been using my new 24-70mm L series lens and realised that I hadn't tried out my nifty fifty... I didn't think I was going to like it and whilst using it felt like I wasn't taking the best photos (plus my camera felt strange because it didn't have a zoom lens attached to the front) but whilst Asti stayed still I got some photos that I feel confident in uploading, so here's my first attempt at 50mm 1.8 pics. Kirislin
Another one from yesterday although he looks nothing like a whippet something about his expression reminds me of my beloved Puck. those clever expressive brown eyes.
raineth
that's lovely can I ask what lighting you used? looks like more than what you could get from windows? It's all natural light. I had him laying on the carpet in front of the lounge room window which gets all the afternoon light and had the front door open off to the side of him. I was really struggling at first and then all of a sudden the sun came out really brightly for a few minutes and I was able to get these two shots. I have white netting on the lounge window which seems to really brighten the background. Other than that it's just a lightroom preset for the editing. thanks for the info! Its great that you can get so much light into your house! our house is very dark. I'll have to get me a copy of lightroom one of these days!
