tira_mia
Bugger ...was brushing my BC tonight and noticed two small little raised bits near his eye. Does anyone have any idea what they could be? Our normal vet's on holidays at the moment so if it's nothing major i'd rather wait til he comes back...but if it's major we'll be off to the vets tomorrow... puggy_puggy
Stye, allergic, reaction or maybe just a fatty growth. Most likely a stye. Try bathing in warm salty water and putting a warm compress on it. Something I personally wouldn't rush off to the vets for. Now if there was something wrong with the actual eye ball that would be a different story.

Anna H
my vet already thinks i'm a hypochondriac because i rush over to him anytime i find something wrong with foxie embarrass.gif Much better to do this than to not care at all I reckon I think it is a stye or maybe some small insect bite?? Doesn't look all that serious - as per PP, a gentle bathe in salty water might help, otherwise just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't swell or anything like that. tira_mia
thanks guys. it hasn't gotten worse since last night so fingers crossed it's just an insect bite google's terrible for overanxious dog owners like me
puggy_puggy
Good to hear. I would just be continuing to bath and do the warm compresses.
