oakway
http://www.ccac.net.au/files/Free_roaming_...AM02Brown_0.pdf It appears that it may well be used successfully on dogs.

Rappie
It may well work, and lots of people might do it, but it's not an approved or registered use of the product. This means that the product can be prescribed by a veterinarian for a specific purpose if no other product is available for that species (as was done in the study). It also helps if there is a well accepted, widely published protocol for the use of the alternate product (such as ivermectin or doramectin for demodex). Otherwise, if theres a registered product for a specific purpose in a specific species then that is what should be used.
InspectorRex
Rappie Also if the dog is a Collie or like breed it could prove fatal to use it due to the Ivermectin Sensitivity in these breeds Unless the dog has been DNA Tested for the Ivermectin Sensitivity and results is CLEAR i still would not use it on a dog as it was made for livestock
OSoSwift
These products are usually very concentrated compared to the dog products. I have seen dogs die and heard of dogs being poisoned by people doing this. I would not do it, it is not worth risking my dog.
