RoxyNHemi
Hello I have a Sony Carl Zeiss Cybershot 8.1mp digital camera. At the moment I just take plain pictures (I have posted pics in the westies forum) I want to learn how to do funky things with my camera, not just when doing poitraits of dogs, but objects too. Is my camera adequate to do this with, and should I download / purchase photoshop? Sarah
helen
For a serious photography a SLR camera allows much more control. Doesn't mean that you cant take great photos with a compact though - I won a competition with a photo taken with a point and shoot. Photoshop elements 7 is out soon, might be worth downloading a trial of that and see what you think Edited December 4, 2008 by helen
Gayle.
Start experimenting with the settings, learn to use AV and TV modes (aperture value, and time value). Experiment with different perspectives....get down low, get up high, get close up and use the widest angle to distort the view. Learn what your camera can do, then push it to it's limits.
