JulesP
Think the angst is who imports it. Lots of people would use Evo in particular if the connection to pet shops wasn't there.

Chocolate
Does anyone know what a large 28lb bag of Evo costs out of interest? Thanks.
goldielover
It really is sad that these products can't be purchased elsewhere I've only been to the one in Cranbourne once (when it first opened) and the staff were friendly, but at the time i was feeding EP Holistic and they put it down and tried to make me feel guilty for feeding such a bad quality food LOL. My other experience with another affiliated franchise was a young male salesperson telling me that the bags of California Natural they were trying to flog off were fine to use even though they were a year out of date (keeping in mind that it would take me 3 months to get through the bag as well). His words of wisdom were "I feed it to my dog and he walks good and stuff!"... so i walked - OUT! LOL
poocow
I know, I would buy their product if it was available through other outlets.
InspectorRex
A family friend is now the Manager of Pet Goods Direct in Cranbourne and her family have owned and shown dogs for over 30 years. She has never tried to sell me "out of date" stock and never would. Chocolate- I will try and find out for you tomorrow as I have to drop off some stuff at the store and I will ask then for you
JulesP
My Pet Goods Direct always has out of stock food. But they sell it quite a bit cheaper - 2 for 1 type deals and clearly marked.
jamie
I went into my local P.P today to have a look at the Innova Evo range and must say that I was very impressed with the quality ingredients in this product.I was disapointed when Orijen was pulled from the Aussie market as,before checking out the Evo range,Orijen was the only kibble that I would have fed. I feed my boy a raw diet, but was looking at adding Orijen maybe once or twice a week but since that is no longer possible I am definitely going to consider getting a bag of Evo to try. I was a little shocked when I checked the expiry dates,a lot of out of dates, some as far back as July 07.I'm going to see if the manager will order me in a new bag. Jamie Edited to add that they also have an offer where after you've bought 9 bags, you get the tenth bag free. jamie
Jamie, sus out Pet Goods Direct as they might be part of the PP chain but do not sell pups/kittens and they have Evo, Innove and California Natural and the prices are better than PP( here anyway) I actually called Pet Goods Direct first, the nearest store is about 45 minutes drive from me.The person I spoke to said not to bother driving all the way over there and said to just go to any Pets Paradise, there are about five within 10 minutes of my house,as they are all the same company.Their prices are the same as PP up here.
