Maxie - 12 Months Today

Well today is the first anniversary since I lost my baby boy! I can't believe 12 months have passed

We still think of you everyday and miss you to bits mate xox

We'd walk right up to Doggy Heaven and bring you home again.

No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye,

You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.

Our heart's still active in sadness, and secret tears still flow;

What it meant to lose you no one can ever know.

But now we know you want us to mourn for you no more,

To remember all the happy times; life still has much in store.

It doesn't seem that long SG, I can still remember the shock and disbelief when I read your post here on that terrible night you lost beautiful Maxie.

I hope your family Have many wonderful memories to treasure, and that the pain of that early grief is easing.

Thanks so much fifi and chicky chicko. Yeah it's gone quick I have to admit.

We still miss him like crazy and talk about him often. He was a one off I think

Toby has more than a few of his uncles traits so his memory lives on!

to you and your family during this time. It's definitely hard :rofl: My mum lost Rex just after Christmas and she still thinks of him everyday.

I will agree that it doesnt seem like 12 months have passed without our great mate Maxie. ;) :cool:

He is always in our memories and our hearts and missed so much.

I know he will never be replaced but it is such an honor to be able to give you both a puppy sired by Riley, so in one way Max lives on in Toby

I am like Chicko and fifi and the others I can still remember the shock and tears when I heard about Max, definately

does not seem like a year ago.

The time has come for the tears to end

for you to be happy and cheerful again.

I am safe in God's home above

cradled in His arms; covered with His love.

We run and play by the Bridge all day

waiting for the day when you'll be here to stay.

You've been crying so much I feel bad

I want you to be happy and not so sad.

Remember the time when I was so small

I couldn't even pickup the rubber ball.

I fought that ball from morning to night

it made you laugh, I was quite a sight.

Remember teaching me sit and stay

we had such fun since I didn't really obey.

but you kept at it with test after test

so when I entered my first show I was the best.

Remember the great times we had in the past

like when we walked to the park we had a blast.

We'd run and play all through the park

until the sun went down and it got dark.

Remember the times we went for a ride

I was so excited I'd jump right inside.

Away we went to who knows where

but you and I we didn't really care.

I'll always love you, you're my best friend

I'll be right with you even to the end.

Always remember the great times we had

and there will be no reason to ever be sad.
