Sunscreen For Dawgs

Little miss Finta likes to sunbake. Flat on her back. :dropjaw:

She is starting to get mildly sunburnt on her tummy. She's mostly white so her tummy skin is pink and thus where I don't ever see sunburn on Brody (who has black skin), I definitely see it on Finta!

It's not a major problem at this point as her run is mostly shaded but obviously even mild sunburn can become a problem if it's constant and long-term, plus I imagine it would get worse over Summer.

Has anyone used sunscreen on their puppers before that could recommend a brand to me? I've only seen one so far, possibly it's the only one available  Do they last well over the course of the day? Or, in reality, am I better off covering the entire run with shadecloth so that she doesn't have any sun to bake herself in?

Any tips or advice appreciated  I'd imagine Bull Terrier people would have dealt with this sort of thing before?

I have a sunloving Italian Greyhound. I bought sunscreen for dogs from Petbarn and have been fine with that for the last few years.

I also ordered a special coat for sun protection from a company in Qld, had to measure him up. It was pretty expensive at the time, it's made from the same material you buy in the Cancer shops for kiddy wear. Unfortunately due to the meds he's been on, he put on weight he can't lose and it no longer fits but I had a couple of years wear from it.
