Nikon Transfer

Does anyone use Nikon Transfer to load images?

I took some photos yesterday in RAW for the first time with the D300. I have always shot Jpeg fine with it.

I loaded them with Nikon Transfer. Half way through it closed and now it won't load the rest off the card.

I am wondering if this is related to them being raw?

I might shoot some jpg on another card & see if it like it. Any tips/experiences?

Oh I am a PC phobic so cant help sorry. :) I find on my mac it is easier to load my raw to the desk-top straight from the camera and sort that way. I am not keen on those loading programs and raw is such huge files I only want the keepers.

Yep I know what you mean. I'm loading on PC b/c the files are SO enormous that it takes forever on the Mac. But I guess forever is better than never :) .

I may just delete them all, they are just Lorikeets, so no loss.

I'm really not sold on Raw. I thought I'd give it a try but it seems more trouble than it's worth to me.

I got this...which I am happy with, so I'll keep it, delete the rest & go back to Jpeg Fine I think
