Last year I bought 2 fly traps but I have to confess, I began dry retching when I had to empty them out and ended up not continuing after a few weeks .....

I hear ya. I was emptying them out when I was at my breeders place - projectile vomit

I heard a good tip ... place a plastic bag in the trap before pouring the solution in. When it's time to change them just take the bag out. Still stinks, but slightly less yucky!

My OH won;t empty them as he tells me he will be sick... Now I don;t find the smell all that appealing either but at least I get the job done

Oh don't get me wrong, I still refuse to do the fly traps, but at least now I can offer a solution to OH when he's vomiting into the wheelie bin
