Trying to get together a list of what I can or cant use on my dogs.

Read on a web site that for minor and superficial, to gently clean with soap and water and then apply an antiseptic or antibiotic ointment.

My question is what type?

Can bepanthen first aid cream be used?

I'd tend to use Betadine which dries and can't be licked off. That's the only issue I'd have with Bepanthen.

Cleaning the dirt out of the graze is the best thing you can do. Washing removes most germs because it removes the dirt. Adding an antiseptic does kill a few more (it also kills regenerating cells so will slow wound healing if continually applied).

I use saline solution and betadine,for most things, aloe vera gel for skin irritations all human grade

Betadine Surgical Scrub is even better than straight Betadine - as bacteria can build up to plain betadine over time.

I never use soap.

I use salt water (or prepared saline solution)

and betadine

or 'purple spray' (has an antibacterial + insect repellant, and is primarily for livestock. Terrific stuff ;) ) STAINS!!!
