Garden Girl Posted November 8, 2008 Share Posted November 8, 2008 Hi all - I'm possibly going to start giving this to my pup - I was told to get the animal formula rather than human and be sure to give the correct dose - I dont even know where to look - vets or pet supplies I'm guessing? ILuvAmstaffs Posted November 8, 2008 Share Posted November 8, 2008 If you are giving this for arthritis, I wouldn't bother getting an "animal formula" and would just go for a human version from a health food store. One that is worthwhile looking at is Wagner MSM Joint Formula with MSM, Glucosamine & Chondroitin. I give it to my boy if his Flexicose runs out before my next order arrives. For instance he isnt in pain and so if there is a problem but we dont operate he may develop arthritis later in life...so it was suggested glocosamine etc might be good for this. I was told on good authority from a prominent Australian Vet that this supplement should NOT be given to puppies as it closes off capilaries in joints and you don't want this happening in a growing pup.
