Ptolomy
Ok - Challenge #4 - I have posted early to compensate for those that don't retrieve and so can't participate in Challenge #3. The question is.......Is your dog right or left pawed? My kids are all right pawed - in that I will throw a toy and they will race out and pick it up and turn to the right. When I send Scoota to the box he always goes in from the left hand side of the box and turns right. If I ask the dogs to shake hands - they shake with their right hand, if they walk up a step - the first step is with their right paw. So is your dog right or left pawed? Sam&Saki
Saki's left pawed! Does that mean she's all creative and artistic and stuff, like left handed people? x
shoemonster
Easy, both right, I know that from flyball
The Spotted Devil
I suspect Ziggy is right pawed, but I will watch him more closely My last dog (an ACD) was very, very strongly left pawed - I was trying to teach her to shake paws and she just couldn't get it...I was really confused as she was so easy to train (much better at the training caper than I was ). Finally, I indicated her left paw and she gave me it with a look of derision as if to say 'what took you so long?'
RubyStar
Ruby is right-pawed, I am picturing her recalling while she's playing at the park and she always about turns to her right to come back. I can't judge by the shake, cos I've taught her to shake with the right and high-five with the left
Janba
Moss and Mishka are right pawed. Cole uses either pretty much equally, but that could also be the work I do with him to keep his sides even for herding.
TerraNik
Jedi is left pawed Ahsoka is right pawed but is happy to work both ways, but she turns to the right when playing. I never noticed their preferences before...!

Roxy is very strongly left-pawed. Roxy always spins anti-clockwise and even does her 'roll over' always to her left. My other dog only ever rolls to his right. MrsD
OK I know this one too from dancing without having to check never knew it would come in handy . Jarrah favours turning clockwise (twist) & favours rolling over to the right (so for the purpose of this exercise, that's right pawed, correct?). Whisper favours turning clockwise (twist) & rolling to the right as well. Jonty is the odd man out - he prefers anticlockwise (spin).
