Luke W
Nice work.I found the Balabanov dvds inspiring. His dogs work like shadows. Are these the "Obedience Without Conflict" series Obedience without conflict - Clear Communication Obedience without conflict - The Game ?? Could you tell me if there is an Australian supplier for these please? I bought mine from the US: http://www.caninetrainingsystems.com/ - shipping was only 5.25 US. RubyStar
I thought it might be fun if we have a thread to post obedience videos we have found that are inspiring. Here's one from me to start it off - a SchH obedience video Wow, that was amazing AND comical at the same time! I couldn't quite work out if the dog had a problem with its leg or if that's just his heeling style! Very impressive though
RubyStar
http://aurach2000.rivido.de/video/lennox/lennox-UO-dm-06.wmvthis is one of my favourites. Maybe becosue its a dobie. The first about turn is very impressive I couldn't get this one to load Is it on YouTube anywhere by any chance?
dogdude
The dog seemed to be to be almost dancing but as I watched more closely he seemed to heel with one front paw raised higher than another that I think made his gait ungainly. He was really trying to steady himself. Also at nearly every sit at heel position he lifted one of his front paws. But I'm with you Luke - I've never done obedience so I'm looking at this with no comp experience - but I'd be more than happy if my dog would heel that close! Sigh - one day ... I have noticed that my pup does this "raised paw" thing at every sit while heeling in drive too.
Kavik
A lot of SchH dogs heel like that GSD. I think in ANKC obedience you would be penalised for that heeling style though. One SchH comp I watched the dog bounced its way through the heeling

Kavik
That's fantastic! I want to know how you teach them to go backwards through your legs like that! I can get forward, not sure how to teach backwards though.
