Hi Steve

Welcome to DOL!

I googled Creon and found this which might be useful:

https://www.epharmacy.com.au/product.asp?id...00+Capsules+100

So I take it you have a very thin Amstaff right now with a pancreatic disorder?

Do you want to tell us what else you have tried? There's lots of experienced people here who may have other suggestions you might be interested in.

:(

No, you don't need a prescription for that website I provided, only if you want to buy Creon Forte. You do have to create a profile though and supply a Medicare number etc.

But after having a read, it sounds like your vet is better off prescribing it anyway.

Is there a reason you can't get it from your vet?

Have you tried looking for any natural alternatives to Creon?

I don't have any experience with EPI so can't share any insight sorry.

It must be quite distressing seeing your dog fade like that. :(

If you haven't discussed Creon with your vet, I wouldn't be giving it to your dog.

Go see the specialist! I have no idea how much it would cost but how much do you love your dog? Just do it and decide from there what you want to do.

You could do more harm than good giving a human med to a dog without discussing it with your vet.

You are likely to find that a specialist will be less expensive long term than your dog having adverse reactions to a medication.

Please don't go buying the stuff, just see the specialist the vet has referred you to and take it from there.
