Nice pics everyone. Love the wheel shot, chezzyr.

I used my cheap 50mm 1.8 for my shots as we were in a hurry. Light wasn't great, being after 6pm on a cloudy day and all but it's a fast enough lens. Was a challenge getting the angles with no zoom.

chezzyr the butterfly is gorgeous.

Tokkie nice job with the bee.

I had a play with more "out-front of my house". I was going to do "people" and took my camera to queen st mall, but chickened out. :)

Front gate.

.... 2. People ....

Tomorrow is Armistice Day. Many towns hold their local memorial service on the previous Sunday as well as going to the Shrine on the 11th. This is a shot from the Boronia (Vic) service yesterday.

Lest we forget.

Look at all those medals, what a legend. :o

I thought I would add this one for "people". I cant decide if I like it or not yet. The light was all wrong and it was a bit gutting as I wanted it to work. I came back with 50 images all crap. Sometimes photography can really get you down.

Last day today, last night I tried to photograph an almost full moon from my front lawn ...

I'm quite happy with this one, it did need some cropping ... all just black background, and I did some stuff in lightroom

again with my canon 400D using the 75-300mm @ 280mm ISO400 1/400 sec f/5.6

3023907377_13377f486b_o.jpg

it definitely looks cleaner viewed at full size, the medium size is disappointing on here :(

I kept meaning to come in and say how much I love everyone's pics

beautiful looking cat rocco, love the last pic

tokkie: I can't believe you got a pic of a bee ;)

chezzyr: the butterfly is so clear, love the background too ... what do you mean by "grab shot"?

I like the reflections in the wheel, blue against pink, black and silver

anyway :(

grab shot: well in my case, I just take a picture quickly without too much thought to

composition and settings, simply because you don't have time in the case of a

butterfly that alights for 1 second! This one was very flighty and I didn't have time

to chase it around the garden
