BC4ME
I don't know if I have bought a lemon or not Hubby bought me a Nikon D60 (which I chose) in April and it is the workshop for the second time. First time to have the flash repaired, it wouldn't pop up when I wanted to use the flash and also to get the lens repaired which they refused to do as they said it had been dropped, which it hasn't. I had them send the lense to Sydney for checking and they still say it has been dropped and won't repair it under warranty Now the camera will only turn on occasionally but then it will cut out when taking a pic. I have checked that it is not the battery as I have 2 batteries which I keep charged up and it is the same with both of them. I have reset the camera when I can get it to turn on but that changes nothing..... Now I am without a camera for the second time AHHHH for another 10 days... I am very particular with my gear and look after it all the time. I won't even let someone else hold the camera to look at the photo for fear they might drop it. Do you think I have bought a lemon or am I being to judgemental.

Vickie
I had problems with my D70s, The motor drive went, so it went in for repair...took forever, but most of that time was spent in the camera shop before going to be repaired. It is currently out of action again. I wore out the shutter. Apparently they are only good for 100 000 shots. We haven't had it fixed yet. but really should do that. Before the shutter went, it used to cut out in the middle of a shot. was on and off a bit before it finally died.

BC4ME
Ok so cameras do break down.... but I am so impatient, I hate being without a camera Vickie - I can relate to taking so many photo's, my family thinks I'm crazy taking a 3-400 photo's everytime I go out. it takes me ages to go through them when I get home. I'm still learning the manual settings, sometimes I get good shots other times I get lousy ones but because I take so many I can usually get the shot I'm after. The only exception to the rule is with my dog Chook who took out "Best Head Dog" at the last BC Specialty everytime I point the camera at him to get a head shot he looks away He's camera shy I think or maybe he is just living up to his name.
rocco
Hope you get your camera sorted. It's a shame you are having so much trouble with it. I always think my camera is broken, but really, it's the operator.
