Some Advice On Those Eagle Pics

Yesterday I was lucky enough to have my camera handy when I saw an eagle with prey being harrassed by magpies and crows.

It was all rather hurried and I never gave a thought to what settings the camera was on. Fortunately I got some pics but I was wondering if those clever ones here could check what it was set on and tell me if I could've changed the settings (if I'd had the presence of mind to do so) for better clearer photos.

f/4.5

1/1000sec

ISO 100

Focal length 100mm

Easiest way to get this information is to right-click on the picture in Windows Explorer, click "Properties" then go to "Details" tab.

BTW - Krislin

About the best you could hope for is a longer zoom!

The only other thing I thought of would be to increase the exposure compensation by at least 1 stop to being out some detail in the dark feathers.
