I think anyone who claims dogs fed on raw diets won't have any health issues is deluded.

It sure as hell won't prevent PRA as I have heard claimed before.

I think it's better than a processed diet but not all dogs do well on it.

Poodlefan so true & sadly many owners end up so disappointed when things do go wrong.

Diet is all about common sense & the individual dog & here we have dogs on different diets because they do better on there individual programme .Its a right royal pain but it isnt a case of one diet suits all

Gawd...I saw that in our local pet store...I asked the price and nearly fell over. I can make it myself for a LOT cheaper than that. And the bonus is I know what goes into it.

Interestingly I couldn't get an ingredients list when I enquired about it (guess you have to buy the book).

When I first read his stuff, I must admit I did find his obvious and vocal dislike of commercial foods a little bit of a turn off. And I'm surprised he took off as well as he did.

I've read several other "natural" diet books now...each tells a different story...but no less interesting.

Just wish more people would do a little more research....the cringe factor on the number of people who believe that cooked chicken, rice and vegies is a complete meal when fed everyday is a bit to high for me. (Hmmm..some even try to tell me that it is a 'natural' diet.)

What do you do? We all started somewhere, we all learned as we went.

I've also know some rather ancient dogs (14+ years) fed on nothing more than PAL.

Just do what feels right for you and your dog I guess.

How's that for fence sitting?

If you buy the barf patties in the original box, like they are meant to be sold, the ingredients are listed on the box.

Personally I think the man has done a good thing for australian dogs, he has raised awareness amongst owners, this is always a good thing.

His books were out out long before he started manufacturing the patties, and considering how lazy we are as a species, I'd say saw the niche and went for it. Good on him.

Yes, you can make it yourself cheaper, but many bemoan the time it takes.

Has to be better than imported crap in a bag, Yes.
