Crest_Fallen
Hi everyone, We have a chinese crested puppy who is about 12 weeks old (due for his vacc any day now). We would like to take him to obedience classes and also agility when he is old enough. Can anyone tell me how old puppies have to be before they can start going to training? Initially we would like to do a puppy socialisation class but then move on to obedience and agility. Any other information you think may be helpful would be appreciated as it has been many years since we did obedience and agility (my goldie is nearly 10yo). pie
Crest fallen, the Agility Club of WA do a puppy class on Tuesday nights at the K9 centre in Southern River. It is good fun for puppies and they have small pieces of equipment and also teach you some good information. This is their website: http://www.agilityclubwa.com/ Edited October 14, 2008 by amypie
Anna H
thanks for that link Amypie... I might have to investigate this club myself (tho I'm NOR river so might prove to be too much of a hike) Crest Fallen - Try Northern Suburbs Obedience Club or Joondalup Dog Training if you are NOR
Crest_Fallen
Thanks for the replies. I forgot to say that I am near Fremantle, but the one at the K9 centre would be ok. I'll look into it.
SparkyTansy
I think Rockingham have a dog club but i could be wrong ... and in any case it might be further away... Edited October 16, 2008 by SparkyTansy
Ptolomy
Southern River Club train obedience and beginner agility at the K9 grounds in Southern River on a Monday night. Rockingham train at Bungaree Oval in Rockingham. Agility is mid week and I think obedience is on a Sunday morning (but this changes over summer) Gosnells do agility training on a Friday night and Obedience on a Sunday morning at Lumen Christie College
