firedrop
Just walked down my hallway and spied my little GSD having a chomp on what I thought was his bone, but on closer inspection it turned out to be a tea candle! Of course I thought the worst after reading an article a couple of hours earlier on first aid. I think my heart must of started pumping adrenalin straight through my body right there and then as I was straight onto my vet (which can be difficult on a public holiday) - thank goodness for after hours numbers. He should be fine, should pass through. On vet's advice GSD was given a bowl / saucer of milk. I think I need to be put to bed given a bowl of milk and be monitored like my GSD now and I thought it was being a boring day! Anyone else had a similar experience? From a recovering Bruodin. Nekhbet
eh milk? hope not cows milk or your in for some stinky farts yeah I have a rotty that eats anything within reach. plastic bags, eggs (once a whole dozen including shells and carton) rubbish, dog toys, grass, etc etc it all passes through in a multitude of rainbow poos... oh yes he ate a whole candle once too. It was a vanilla pillar candle apparently very tasty as he demolished most of it whilst we were asleep. Yup white chunky poo for a while I only buy natural candles anyway so its not a big deal. Luke W
bahahaha My 7mo has had apomorphine to induce vomiting twice. Once for a human medicine capsule he found and was chomping on, the other time for a mosquito coil (lit and smoking) he'd decided to eat.
puggy_puggy
Found a chewed up package of blood pressure pills that one of my foster puggies had managed to swipe from my bedside table. Sent my blood pressure even more sky high untill I accounted for all the pills.

Unforunately yes it was cow's milk. I have the Glen 20 on standby.
Nekhbet
many dogs are lactose intolerant and I never give cows milk blergh ... some yoghurt is OK yes doggies will do things like that ... actually you want heart attack I got home one day and my Belgian bitch was hopping about carrying her hind leg - the skin was torn open and a huge flap was hanging off. She had a toy like 'I made whoopsie but I've got 3 others to walk on!" 3 vet clinics, 9 hrs and $800 later
