huski
ohh are you bringing daisy? ;) Nooooo, the little turd is staying at home. She'd go nuts being crated all day at the work shop, even with breaks, she'd be too excited with all the other dogs. The aggression workshop would be pretty useless with her anyway - although I'm really bringing Mishy cos he's so much easier

Just Midol
Should I be bringing any of my training gear? I know you said the stuff I am comfortable handling my dog in but any use bringing tugs, toys and training collars? Though, asking is useless as I'll probably bring it all regardless of your answer ETA: Micha and Lily would probably go well together as Lily is just so "meh" about other dogs Though being a sibe she might be a bit more into it??? She confuses me - she has no time for Montu, plays for about 5 seconds every hour with Benji and LOVES Gizmo. spanky
hehehe, I didn't mean to cause confusion over vac papers. Just wasn't sure if we needed them. Thanks for the info Seita.
Miss Monster
ohh are you bringing daisy? she'd be too excited with all the other dogs. I think we are going to have this problem Ummm us too! We could just let Mia, Bakari & Daisy go nuts running around and they will sleep the whole time Thanks Spotty! I'll pm you!
Seita
There's a large offleash area right near the training area and each of the cabins have a small fenced yard so for those people bringing dogs who may not cope being crated/leashed all day we can probably arrange for some to be loose in the various yards at least for some of the time! Midol - feel free to bring tugs and stuff as we may do a hands on bit when we get to drive training on the Sunday afternoon. I'll be bringing my tug etc - it doesn't take up much space so why not! Miss Monster
Huski's Mischa isn't good with other dogs either and I don't think Sparky's Griffin is either.... I think it'll only be Bakari & Mia that may be the in your face lunatics so hopefully they will wear each other out and leave the others alone I will have Kari in his crate because otherwise he wont sit still long enough, he'll have his water bowl and I'll probably bring him something to chew on to keep him quiet too... RL1
All these dogs with attitudes towards other dogs should make for an interesting weekend for the owners.

Wait till she wears out?? Wears out?? We are in for a loooooooong weekend I wanted to see if I can get some tips on how to make Mia less friendly? when she meets other dogs. She doesn't take the hint when another dog doesn't want to be tapped on the head with her paw eta: is there also a creek for dogs to swim in? or did I dream that? Should have done that when socialising ;) When she jumps on another dog remove her
Spot.
She doesn't jump on other dogs. She taps them on the head in a playful manner if they are smaller then her. A dog can growl at her not to continue with unwanted behaviour, and it takes human intervention for her not to do it. I want to know how to teach her not to do it... Just Midol
I'd personally do it the same way. If dog annoys another dog (IE other dog says piss off and mia doesn't) I'd remove her. Can probably do it with an e-collar too, but I wouldn't know how. But you can do everything with them.
Spot.
Owners of dogs have told me to let their dogs tell her off...I remove her when I can clearly see she doesn't care. I have stopped giving her the opportunity to do it.
