Can someone explain to me what they do to them? Cheers - Siobhan

hopenfox
To clarify, its the grape seeds that can cause problems, not the fruit.
Golden Rules
And keep in mind that sultanas and raisins are just dried grapes so a 'no-no' as well.
poodlefan
To clarify, its the grape seeds that can cause problems, not the fruit. Ah, no. It's all grapes. Ingestion of grapes and raisins is associated with a potentially fatal acute renal failure syndrome in dogs. The toxic principle and mechanism of damage have not been identified. You're right, don't listen to me! They have no idea what part or parts of the grape are toxic. Ah, no. Melissa4
Interesting topic - My sisters vet told her to give her dog sultanas as treats as she has server allergies... Very interesting. Some vets are so silly if this is the case
