Kavik
I am thinking of doing tracking more seriously with Diesel. We have done a little bit, and he gets really excited when he knows that's what we're doing - much more excited than when we are doing obedience! We have started by footstep tracking with food, and I was wondering where to go to get some more help? Will try the SchH club as next port of call if nothing else. I went to the Tracking Club but they did a toy at the end, and Diesel isn't that keen on toys, and wouldn't work for that long with just a toy at the end. Any tips, ideas on books etc? I know that coming up to summer is a really bad time to decide to do this Anything I can do without a huge property? Articles etc? Where can I find the rules for trials? I would love to trial Diesel in something. Maybe tracking will be what he loves!
Nekhbet
Schutzhund club is usually the way to go, Herr Rottweiler does the tracking/trailing for NDTF if you want to buzz him I find tracking with food keeps the dogs head where its meant to be - glued to the ground My Mali loves it

squeak
Tracking rules can be found here... http://www.ankc.org.au/home/inner.asp?pageID=70&mainID=2 I've been out with the tracking club twice and they have allowed people to use a ball, toy, food or tug at the end of the track.
