RoxyNHemi
I dont think just general walking up and down stairs is a huge issue, but bounding up and down, racing up and down continually would. Dont take my word for it, but my mums danes used to walk up and down a set of 5 stairs and they never had any damage resulting..
ZEPING
okiee youve sort of rested my fearfullness!! but ive been taking him for walks and swims down at my local pond! if that to much for him!??
Alison
I have to agree, if he isn't running up and down the stairs or jumping a heap of stairs at a time or falling down them i can't see how it would damage him?? I wouldn't let him go up and down them hundreds of times a day though. The best and only exercise a pup should get is self exercise. Let them exercise themselves, playing, etc. They will stop when they tire.
KOE
I have gsd's and lived in a house with 13 stairs and one is now 7 years old . My Vizsla lived there till she was 13 years and spent that time running up and down the same 13 steps.
