RoxyNHemi
Ok, so I bring home my new 8 Week old Westie puppy on Friday night... one of us will be home at all times over the weekend, and I have taken monday off work. I will be taking him to puppy preschool at hopefully 10 weeks, but my real question is my work collegues are REALLY eager to see him, they have been seeing weekly pics of him and would like me to bring him in on Monday. He will remain in my arms but im just a lil worried about overdoing it with this little guy, obviously he has had his first set of vacc's but wont of had his second lot. BTW my work is a plain basic office, and I know that all my collegues dogs have been vaccinated. Cosmolo
As long as you don't keep the pup awake when they're exhausted, i don't think it would be a problem to take yor pup in for a visit. Would be good from a socilisation point of view- just need to make sure he is not crowded by too many people all at the one time. Enjoy your puppy!! Guest Tess32
Yep I'd do it, as long as he's not on ground and gets a nap.
TerraNik
I agree with the others... It's no problem! Just make sure he doesn't get exhausted! :D
huski
Yep I'd do it, as long as he's not on ground and gets a nap. Ditto. If done properly I think its a great opportunity for some socialisation.
RoxyNHemi
Thanks everyone.. I thought it would be great for socialization too. I told everyone that they MUST have a shower in the AM and not touch any strange dogs. :D
GSDhandler
i wish i could have done that with my pup. she was fairly isolated, because of my work and my OH work, she hasnt really hada lot of social interaction, and so now i am having trouble teaching her the right behaviour. RoxyNHemi
OK So we went into work today, it went brilliantly, everyone adored Cruise, and I had lots of offers for doggy sitters etc. He took everything in his stride. He was brilliant... Cant wait till our first show. Yehhaaa
Miss B
Glad to hear it went well I did the same thing a few years ago when I got my two Cav puppies I still take my Sibe pup to work with me every now and again BUT it's a bit different these days as I work in a vet clinic so she's really not that out of place.
