Miss BeRidgierent
Hello All This may seem like a silly question but how do all you big dog owners bath your dogs? You can't bath them in the laundry sink like little dogs. I have been trying to do it in the shower but they hate that (and no I'm not in there with them) what do you find easiest getting a professional? outside with a bucket???? I would love to know. Thanks
MolassesLass
I wash my Bullmastiff outside with the hose.
Kavik
I use either an attachment to the tap and do them in the bathtub or outside with the hose (shampoo too of course!). Lately been doing the hose as the tub gets so messy!
Guest PixieOfWrath
I have a Booster Bath (basically a plastic bathtub on legs) so I don't bust my back, which is set up outside. My landlord built my place with horses in mind so there is a wash bay with hot and cold taps. I bought one of those hose attachments with all the different settings (jet, spray, shower etc) and am about to get a dog blow dryer with my tax refund so will be totally set then. :D
Kavik
Oh cool! Can I come and do them at your place? :D
Sam&Saki
Mine is washed in the bathtub She loves it so much she hops in there herself - even when she's not being bathed, she just sits in the bathtub looking hopeful whenever I'm in the bathroom, lol :D She's hydrobathed when need be though
Daisy
my wolfhound is just too big for me to get her in and out of the bath any more, so she goes to the groomer for a hydrobath. They only charge me $40 for a bath and blow dry, I think that is pretty good, although I haven't compared prices.

Miss B
Used to wrestle with the dog and the hose in the backyard - never again :D These days I head down to our local Petwise store - they have a grooming salon inside with DIY hydrobaths (& commercial dog driers). Unlimited use of everything is only $5 per dog. It is sooo much easier and the dogs seem to enjoy it more aswell.
SparkyTansy
Outside with a hose... the weimaraner doesn't do the hose so she gets a bucket of warm water... Used to do it in the bath but I would end up wetter than the dog.
InspectorRex
Have my own hydrobath and dryer but even if I didn't our Vet lets you use their hydrobath and dryer for $5 DIY- now that is a bargain! :D
KitKat
I either take to my two large fluffy GSD's with a hose in the back yard, or my preferrence is take them to a DIY hydrobath then take to them with the dryer afterwards :D

Danois
With a 74kg dane - I used to do him in the large walk in shower and would hop in there with him and stand at the back - ended up damp of course. Now I have moved I have taught him to step into the bath tub and he stands there and I have a shower attachment on the bath taps and wash him that way. Christina
My BIL used to take his Doberman into the shower with him. Easy.
Gretel
I used to have a hose attachment on my laundry tap and I ran a hose from that outside so I could use warm water to bath my Newf and Dobe. Always killed my back though
stormie
Orbit gets told "into the bath" and in he goes! I have a $5 pet shower attachment from kmart.
fifi
we have a large hydrobath, but for a quickie wash, I use the 'rose on a rubber hose' attachement to the laundry taps, its too cold here for a hose bath !! I have also stripped down to the undies and washed them in the shower with the flexi shower head. fifi
JulesP
I have a booster bath as well. I have an attachment for the laundry tape for a hose. I would like a hot tap outside though, it drove me nuts on the weekend trying to get the water the right temp. Have a dryer as well.
Miss BeRidgierent
Oh wow I didn't think I would get so many replys. The DIY hydrobaths sound great. I will have to find one around my area. I wish I could have my own hydrobath like some lucky people that would be great. Thanks guys.
