~Aimee~
I was wondering what your recommendations are for good puppy training books? Looking forward to your responses
~Aimee~
I just came across the one. Has anyone read it? It has some great reviews and I like that it also comes with a DVD. http://www.amazon.com/My-Smart-Puppy-Effec.../ref=pd_sim_b_5
LuvMyCav
We have After You Get Your Puppy by Dr Ian Dunbar, Aimee, which I thought was good. Other than that I bought a couple of Cavalier books. A lot of stuff I wanted to know about eg crate training, I just googled.
~Aimee~
LuvMyCav- Which cavalier books have you got? Are there any you would recommend?
Luke W
The perfect Puppy - Gwen Bailey - very similar content to the Dunbar Books...nicer cover, cute cartoon pictures, nicer presentation
Leema
I have not read "The Perfect Puppy" but bought it a few weeks ago. From my flicking through, it's fantastic. It actually goes through dog body language which lots of books fail to do. Of course, this is just me looking at pictures. Also, there is a border terrier featured throughout, which isn't a bad selling point.

(ps - I got mixed up with another book when I mentioned cute cartoons...That's from Dog Friendly Dog Training - Andrea Arden, another one worth having). LuvMyCav
LuvMyCav- Which cavalier books have you got? Are there any you would recommend? One was one of those books you find in the pet shop that are available in all different breeds. It wasn't that good because it just threw in the word "Cavalier" every now and then and in the other books was probably substituted with the word "Border collie", "Poodle" etc. etc. Not really breed specific at all. The other was "A Complete Pet Owner's Manual" for ckcs' but in all honesty it wasn't that great but better than the other one. I would prefer a book written by long-time Cavalier breeders.
