ZAUBISTAR
I have been wondering if it's worth buying worming tablets in bulk (50 or so for 3 dogs). I was of the impression that to use different products was more beneficial as using the same brand encourages immunity. Is there any truth to this? It would save me a bit of money but I'm not sure if it's worth it.
Dackel
Hi, Worms are Worms so IMO as long as 1 worm product does the job it will do me. I am not sure about getting immune to 1 type of product as you only worm a dog/cat every 3 month and it comes out of the other end pretty soon so immunity cannot be established in the first place. If I am wrong please tell as I am willing to learn. Petra and Felix
ZAUBISTAR
Fair enough point. I just heard that from worming horses you need to change it every few months and thought it might be the case with dog wormers too.
Dackel
Hi again, Why not ask a Vet what he thinks? Although i think a vet would probably not sell in bulk since they would not ne making a profit selling in bulk. Petra and Felix
RachelleBuck
I buy my worming tablets in bulk cos I have three dogs also. Websites like www.petnvetdirect.com.au are really good for buying in bulk and they do work out cheaper.
