Pippi & Jess - Come In Here

Recommended Posts

I didn't get to see you guys before I left last Sunday and just wanted to say:

GOOD LUCK FOR THIS WEEKEND ;)  (that includes a couple of other Ballarat members who'll be there)

Go and kick some butt (unless it's Tollers you're competing against of course  )

You've all put in heaps of work and deserve to do really well. I'd love to be able to come down to cheer you on but unfortunately I won't be able to this weekend.

If you've got any photos I'd love to see them.

Are there any other DOLers going to the Nationals.

Jeez girl you know how to put the wind up a person - all I see when I enter DOL is this post summoning me :confused:

Thanks so much for the good wishes - what we need now is some heavy duty praying to the agility ground surface gods

Apparently the grounds are in absolutely attrocious condition so I've already scratched all my agility runs.

We'll look at jumping runs as we go - if its too bad then I'll pull out of the lot. Bloody disappointing but not worth the risk, especially with little miss speedy.

Anyone up for a road trip to Perth Nats next year  ;)

I had a look at the weekend weather forecast and now it says showers for Saturday(developing) and Sunday(clearing). That would be such a shame if the grounds aren't up to the weather conditions. I've seen you guys out there every weekend working toward this and I I'm hoping the agility ground surface gods will be in your favour.

What time of year are the Perth Nats on? The obedience nats are on over there too.

I have no idea re the Perth Nats, have done some googling with no results. Would love to find out so I can start planning ;) Anyone want to enlighten us

I am praying madly that the grounds are better than we think they will be - heres hoping...

And Jess I am already checking out Perth, I am absolutely up for it... ;)

Obedience Nationals are in WA next October and are at night.

The agility Nationals I thought were 2010 in Perth.

I have just heard from the WA crew who arrived in Melbourne yesterday - they said the weather was OK - the grounds were awful! But then we did warn them after coming home from the obedience nationals a couple of weeks ago.

Good luck everybody - and......go the tollers!

OMG - are you serious ?

I'm only going Friday and Sunday and if I scratch anything 'agility related' (I'm including pairs & gamblers in that) then I will be left with one run ! And you know what a sooky la-la I am when it comes to my dog after already missing a year of trialling from him being injured - so I will scratch too if I consider it unsafe. As I did at Wang. as some of the things I saw dogs doing were scary. I'm starting to think I should have followed my first instincts which were not to bother entering as I hate running at KCC Park at any time of the year and never enter there.

I've been conned into going out tomorrow afternoon with someone that I am training with in the morning to set up and have a look around - so.... will let you know how it looks then. Fingers crossed !

Hmmm - a road trip to Perth might be fun and if both kelpies are trialling by then, it might be worth it.

I know it sounds drastic KC but I did enter 14 runs, between Games and Open plus Excellent, with the plan to dump a few runs anyway. I didn't plan on dumping this many though :)

I still have 6 jumping runs between Open and Excellent. Just means that I have more time to watch and learn and less stress trying to memorise more than 1 course at a time (always my downfall!)

I'm not a fan of contact equipment in the wet, and I'm not interested in even considering the idea with mud. Nothing wrong with being a sooky la la when it comes to my dog's safety, I'll join you quite happily if I deem it to sh*t to run

Ptolomy I've been told the Agility Nats are in Perth next year but I can't find anything to back that up.

I've heard that the ground's awful too

My kids are entered in Jumpers only and one pairs for Kiz.

Hey guys, hate to ask for help but if anyone see's me there and I'm fighting with my gazebo could you please give me a quick hand to get it up - I'm stubbon and will probably end up hurting myself trying to do it alone. Coming down by myself with 2 dogs but be blowed if I'm going to sit out in the cold.

Also, as I'm the only one in my gazebo if anyone needs a bit of shelter, sing out.

No problems Silvawillow - it will be good entertainment for everyone to watch the two 'vertically deprived' women putting it up together :(

Thanks for the help ladies!

KC, you should have seen me struggling with it one day - had a brain fart and put it up to full height and then realised I hadn't put the walls on :) But I was stubbon and determined not to take it down again and got em on - just took me 20 minutes that's all :o

Good luck everyone who's going :)

Have just been out on the grounds this afternon helping to set up etc and the ground has coped fantastically well considering it's state last weekend. The rings look great, it's super organised and it should be a fantastic weekend! There are some areas still wet and soggy underfoot but the rings are much much better than Wang for safety so fingers crossed for weather like today!! Good luck to all entered!

Hey Ptolomy, can you ask you "resources" how the Ballarat dogs are going? :) The WA dogs sound as though they're kicking butt. Great news for you guys. :(

It was a dry day in Vic today so hopefully the grounds have dried out well. Fingers crossed for the next 2 days.
