Mistral goes crazy for pretty much everything he is the most toy driven dog i have ever known, but the top hits are his rope bone, chicken on a rope (a string of plastic drumsticks on a rope) his mace on a rope (same deal as the chickens but a big soft plastic mace at either end, he likes hitting people with that one) and offcause quackers the soft toy duck that quacks, everyone loves that duck I have gone threw about six of them over the last 8 months.

He also loves his nyla bone.

BTW Terra that photo of Jedi is just adorable!

Thanks! It's one of my favs... Jedi has the kitty version of Mistral's duck... He didn't know what to make of it to begin with, but now loves it. We're getting Ahsoka the monkey one! (Any excuse for buying more toys!!)

Miss Puppy arrived yesterday and has taken to gnawing on my hand like a bone- i have given her a few toys but i am thinking perhaps a puppy kong might be best for her?

What do people suggest?

There's someone on the forum that makes tug toys, maybe you can buy them from her ;)

Rhino hide, although probably in short supply, would be good.

Jedi and Snot are gorgeous.

I'm interested in getting the Nyla bones for my girl. Anyone know of any places in Sydney that stock them?

Also, i saw a soft material cube/box on a training DVD that has slits in each side and you can put soft balls in there and also hide treats in it. I have no idea what it's called or if it's available in Australia? Does anyone know or seen this toy anywhere?

I think the pet store at Castle Hill Homemakers has it... The store that has Ned, the Newfie.

We bought a squeaky newspaper and our pup (12 weeks) goes mad with it - we also bought a Home alone that you hang up - from Vets and Pets on the net as we are at work and she is an insane kelpie with lots of energy  - expensive but worth it - she seems to be only focussed on her specific toys and leaves most other stuff alone

Another question guys- not for my pup- but someone else i know. Those stuffed toys with a heartbeat, where to get them and what are they called?

I bought my new one a Snuggle Puppie - is a soft fluffy toy, has a heartbeat, heat pads and a renewable heat pack (rice you heat in the micro). If you google snuggle puppie you'll find it. He turns up tomorrow so don't know if he likes it or not yet  I bought it direct from the company online, fairly slow delivery (but I am in the middle of nowhere so that is probably why it too a little while).

  • 3 weeks later...
Snot likes his Nyla bone ribbed, for extra pleasure

Is this pornography? Whatever it is, it's most definitely the funniest picture I've seen on DOL ever!

Martha loves her plush toys with squeakies inside. Or without — I've just got kids' toys from op-shops too. Puppy kong is invaluable. Empty toilet rolls with the ends rolled up and kibble inside are temporary but very popular toys round here. We also got an Orka Jack from Pookinuk that she loves, but that was when she was a little older — around three months.
