dead sheep
Hello groomies My smooth coat chihuahua Arnie has hair growing between his pads on the bottom of his paws. It's about 5mm long and between each "toe print" of each paw. Its hair growing down between his toes. My other smooth coat does not have this at all. Is this normal? Can it cause infections or other problems? Should I trim it? If so, how? Iv never seen a short haired dog with hair growing this long in this place. I asked the chihuahua breed sub forum and only the long coats have this, not the smooths. Does anyone else have a short haired breed with this? Thankyou
TerraNik
Nope, I can't help. My long coated breed has that and we trim it, but my short coated beagle never had that happen. Sorry... I hope someone can help you!
Clyde
You can trim it if it's bothering him or you think the foot needs more air, but unless he's slipping around and it's excessive I would just leave it.
