Gerda the Schnauzer
Hiya, I saw these on a stall locally(Mars brand), and was going to get a stripper for our schnauzer, are they any good?? I should get scissors too? Obviously I am hoping to learn to clip eventually, just for our own pup. http://www.marsgroomingproducts.com.au/ Thanks for any advice,
GoldiesRgr8Poodles2
The mars website range is good but if you want to ahnd strip as in show strip your Shnauzer back you are going to need a different kind of stripper for the back. I use the mars strippers and dont have one of the standard ones that would show strip the back short enought. It just depends on what you want as far as look. If you dont mind the back being a little longer and scruffier them buy a #16 or #20 for the back. Good luck!

Gerda the Schnauzer
Thankyou! We aren't going to show or anything, its more to maintain the coat between clips, and to make her more comfortable in the QLD summer LOL.

Dogsfevr
If your going to clip the coat you will lose the texture that the coat king is designed to work on.I wouldnt bother buying a coat king unless you wish to maintain the coat & just clip the easrs, throat, head & bum. Gerda the Schnauzer
Thanks Settlvr, I'm not out for a show coat, and planned clipping... so no coat king then! BBL
becks
I agree, it would be a waste of money on a clipped coat (and not something I would use on a stripped coat either!)
