WreckitWhippet
I'd never thought about feeding them to the dogs, I feed most vegies and just found some in the crisper. Is there any reason why you shouldn't feed mushrooms to dogs ? I am assuming they are harmless

shmoo
Mushrooms Mushroom poisoning can be fatal if certain species of mushrooms are eaten. The most commonly reported severely toxic species of mushroon in the US is Amanita phalloides, but other Amanita species are also toxic. They can cause severe liver disease and neurologic disorders. The recommendation is to induce vomiting when these mushrooms are ingested and to give activated charcoal, as well. Supportive treatment for liver disease may also be necessary. But the mushrooms we eat are probably fine

Nicole...
I have this link bookmarked http://www.diamondpaws.com/health/barfveg.htm It works well as a quick reference when I'm not sure on things... however on second look it doesn't mention mushrooms so it's probably no help to you anyway!
