kaceymegs
Hey, I am thinking about giving my pup fish oil and/or evening primose oil for his skin, coat and joints. Can I use human grade vitamins from the chemist or supermarkets or is there ones specifically for animals?
Guest magnum
You are fine to give human grade to your dog Fish oil tabs & even zinc will help if you are still having problems with your puppies skin.
First Time Puppy Owner
Yes you can use fish oils for humans, yes there are different dog oils - flaxseed, omega oil etc and there are blend oils that you can buy from health food shops like mega oil. But the question is what purose is it for? Has your pup got a condition you are trying to treat or are you just wanting to induce hair growth etc??? Bully
Yep, I use human vitamins & oils for my girl. If giving fish oil be sure to addd a vitamin E capsule as fish oil depletes vitamin E If you read the fine print of the fish oil bottle some mention about vitamin E but most don't
trifecta
There is heaps of information on this topic if you do a search on this forum. As usual, I will caution against overdosing on fish oil!
