Oh Haven only just noticed you are due to pop any day, good luck with bubs!

OMG!!! Thanks Rysup for pointing this out. Not that I am interested in any discussion about pinch collars :big grin:, but I have kind of been focussing on the discussion here and not people's sigs.

Good luck Haven ..... and BTW - happy Birthday for a few weeks ago!!!

Make sure you let me know when your baby arrives ................................. and when I can book him/her in for puppy socialisation classes!!!

Seriously - I do wish you all the best and hope everything goes well for you all :D.

Cheers!

Erny

PS - Rysup ..... sorry for the :D interlude.

LOL thats quite ok Erny, anything to lighten the load. Some people are just too serious in here sometimes!!

Babies are much more interesting :D

Ummmmmm, well .............. "more interesting"? Maybe.

I must admit, I think pups would be easier. You just get up and take them outside to wee and poo. Babies ya gotta do the nappy bit and they sick on you. :D

ETA: Although I'm sure Haven's will be well trained

Tatelina, I am NOT seeking the EASY way out. I was just asking a question. Thanks. I do not know if the prong is the right tool for my needs, so I asked, would you rather I just went and got myself one without finding out? Why do you think her training is all over the place and confusing? What makes you assume that?

No I would not prefer that you just went and got yourself one and I'm glad that you're asking. But since you asked, I answered with my opinion!

I figured that if after a year of training you still weren't getting the results you were after (not pulling) perhaps the training was confusing your pet.

But anyway I'm sure you know what you're doing.

So goodluck!

Rysup, have a chat to Steve (K9 Force) he will tell you all you need to know about training with the prong and how to make sure your Amstaff doesnt get "collar smart" (so she can wear her flat collar and still behave).

Speaking from experience, done properly, the prong really is a lifesaver :)

We went out to see steve at k9 force over the weekend and he taught me how to use a prong with Zero.

Our walk last night was fantastic - no possum chasing, no pulling and best of all no peeing on everything!

I'm very happy - steve even sent me all the info we discussed on saturday today, so i can follow it all up at home!
